To provide schools with a space to begin to discuss issues around size and its challenges. Consultation can be one-time or a series built on the schools’ needs. Focusing, not only on staff necessities but student necessities as well. This program will support schools on the journey of building a formidable and welcoming community that is diverse and inclusive. Programs can also be created that incorporate and support current curriculum so that teachers and administrators can integrate lessons into existing core curriculum. At the conclusion of each section of study or presentation schools can see the potential for culturally responsive educational settings around the issue of size. Schools will achieve cultural competency which is the ability to successfully educate students and staff of all backgrounds and cultures.
A special program designed for children K-12 to discuss size in the classroom and in their world. Picture books, popular text, and media will be used to identify areas in need of consideration.
